Genzyme was first introduced to Manhattan Software by Fox Relocation during the planning phase of the company’s move to the new headquarters at Genzyme Center in Cambridge, MA, which would have been difficult to manage with its existing system from a global provider of facilities and infrastructure management solutions, which was difficult to use and limited in its reporting capabilities.
Genzyme selected CenterStone and its Space Management functionality based on its superior Web-based functionality, ease of use and reporting capabilities. As a result, Genzyme was able to reduce allocations and can now manage charge-backs to business units and automatically feed this data to its financial systems, streamlining a previously manual process. By expanding its utilization of CenterStone into Lease Management, Genzyme has gained tighter control on its leasing costs.
