Introducing CenterStone 6.3 – Enterprise Reporting |
By David Helinek Director of Product Management, CenterStone Software
Today’s real estate and facilities executives – your valued clients – must make multi-million dollar portfolio decisions about occupancy, utilization, lease obligations and operations, while managing costs and profitability across multiple divisions, business units and locations. To address these priorities, CenterStone is releasing CenterStone 6.3 Enterprise Reporting, a state-of-the-art reporting engine to help executives unlock the critical workplace information needed for planning, forecasting and making the most informed business decisions for their bottom line. CenterStone’s powerful, easy-to-use reporting capabilities allow users at all levels to create and edit reports on-the-fly and quickly extract and connect meaningful information from across all application modules. We polled our user community and gathered requirements for a new, powerful reporting tool set. These requirements covered everything from data access to formatting. Enterprise Reporting provides these capabilities in the form of three tools that have been designed from the start to be easy to use, powerful, intuitive, and extensive in functionality. - Report Explorer is the launch point for all reporting functionality. Accessible from any point in CenterStone, Report Explorer allows users to create new reports, edit existing reports, run reports, edit filter sets, open legacy reports and even upload and open other file format documents. Report Explorer has full access to CenterStone classifications (HR, Leases, Structural Units, etc.), a public/private folder structure for quicker review and retrieval of the most commonly used reports, and other functionality.
- Report Wizard takes a user through the report creation process with pre-configured templates. Moving through Report Wizard is a simple as choosing what type of report is desired (tabular, grouped or graphical/chart), choosing the data set to report upon, and pressing ‘run’. Limited formatting is possible, but the focus of the Report Wizard is speed.
- Report Editor provides complete control of every design aspect and nuance of report creation. Built for the power user, Report Editor allows users to create additional report types (pivot and nested reports), control formatting (headers, footers, data cells, page styles, etc.), create custom formulas and style templates for use across the organization, from all CenterStone modules.
